THE STUFF YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW.
frequently asked questions
-
Both.
Work and life have an annoying habit of happening at the same time. KISS was deliberately designed to work across both.
You might need help getting on top of a new role one month and sorting a house move the next. You don’t need a different person for every piece of the puzzle.
Take a look at KISS in Action for a few examples of what that breadth can look like in practice.
-
No. In fact, that’s often where I’m most useful.
You can come to me with a problem, an idea, a half-formed thought, a very long list — or simply, “I don’t know where to start.”
We’ll work out what actually needs doing and the simplest way forward.
-
Both. Sometimes it's one thing you need figured out or done. Sometimes it's a bigger project, or you want someone alongside you for a while.
You don't need to know which. Tell me what's going on, and we'll work out what makes sense.
-
Even better.
KISS exists partly because life doesn’t arrive neatly packaged into job descriptions. From the perfectly ordinary to the wonderfully unconventional, very little surprises me.
If it matters to you, bring it to me. No judgement, no raised eyebrows — we’ll figure out what to do with it.
And if I’m not the right person for it, I’ll tell you.
THE BASICS
-
With a conversation.
I’ll get curious about what’s going on, what matters, what’s getting in the way and what a good outcome looks like.
From there, I might help you think something through, research the options, make a plan, organise the moving parts, bring in the right people — or simply get on and do it.
Sometimes that takes a few hours. Sometimes it becomes a project. Sometimes it makes sense for me to stay alongside you for longer.
-
KISS is deliberately a thinking-and-doing service.
I’m very happy figuring something out with you. I’m equally happy opening the spreadsheet, making the calls, researching the options, chasing the supplier, writing the brief or turning an idea into an actual plan.
Usually, it’s a bit of both.
I work directly with a small number of clients at a time, so I can get to know their world, stay close to the detail and give their Stuff the attention it deserves.
-
Mostly, yes.
KISS is based in Europe and can work with clients wherever they happen to be. Some projects can be done entirely remotely; others may benefit from time together in person.
If travel is required, we’ll agree that at the outset.
-
Either.
Some things just need a concentrated burst of help. Others benefit from having a trusted right hand who already knows the backstory.
Sometimes it makes sense for me to stay alongside you for longer. That might mean continuing to pick things up as they arise, being a sounding board, or simply keeping you accountable and helping make sure the things we’ve agreed actually happen.
KISS can work by the day, by the project or as an ongoing partnership. We’ll work out what makes sense for what you actually need.
-
Then we’ll find the right person.
Part of keeping things simple is knowing when specialist expertise is the better answer. Where it makes sense, I can help find, brief and coordinate the right people — while keeping hold of the bigger picture for you.
Any third-party costs will always be discussed and agreed with you first.
HOW WE WORK TOGETHER
-
It depends on the scope.
KISS support can be priced by the day, by the project or through an ongoing monthly arrangement.
Once I understand what you need, I’ll recommend the simplest way of structuring it — and you’ll know the cost before we start.
-
That happens.
Sometimes you don't know exactly what a piece of work involves until you get into it. If the scope changes, we'll talk about it, agree what makes sense and make sure you're comfortable with any impact on timing or cost before we carry on.
-
Sometimes getting stuff done means spending money.
Any significant expenses or third-party costs will be agreed with you in advance. Where possible, you’ll pay suppliers directly or provide the funds or payment method needed for me to make an authorised purchase on your behalf.
We’ll agree what works best before any money is committed.
-
Life happens.
If plans change, let me know as soon as you can and we’ll work out the best way forward. Any cancellation or rescheduling terms that apply to your work will be agreed with you in advance.
You can find the detail in the Terms & Conditions.
THE PRACTICAL STUFF
-
Discretion comes with the territory.
I’ve spent much of my career working closely with CEOs, Chairmen and senior leaders where confidential business and personal information was simply part of the job.
Anything you share with KISS is treated accordingly, and NDAs are absolutely fine where appropriate.

I'm a big believer in using AI where it can make the work faster, simpler or better. I use AI as a tool to research, explore ideas, organise information and work more efficiently.
But using AI well still takes time, judgement and knowing when to stop. Sometimes the simplest solution is for me to take that work off your plate too.
AI can do some of the heavy lifting, but I don't delegate the critical thinking. I apply human judgement to the output and remain responsible for the work I provide.
How AI can help, and whether and how I'll use it for your particular work, is something we can always discuss together.
-
I recognise that AI is still unfamiliar territory for many people, and that sharing business or personal information requires trust.
I take that responsibility seriously. I'm actively interested in how organisations are adopting AI, how standards and best practices are evolving, and what responsible use looks like in practice.
I use AI thoughtfully, with consideration for confidentiality, privacy and the sensitivity of the information involved. That includes being mindful of which tools I use, how information is handled and when additional safeguards or client agreement may be needed.
I'm always happy to discuss how AI might be used in your particular circumstances, including any preferences or concerns you may have.
