What you tell KISS stays with KISS.

Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

Trust and discretion are fundamental to the way I work.

KISS & Co. clients may trust me with personal information, business matters, family circumstances, plans, ideas, documents and other things they wouldn't necessarily share widely. I treat that information as confidential and only use or share it where necessary to do the work you've asked me to do, where you've given me permission, or where I am legally required to do so.

This policy explains that commitment, as well as how KISS & Co. collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality applies to the information you share with me — personal or professional — as well as the nature of the work I am undertaking for you.

I will not disclose client information to another person or organisation unless:

  • you have asked or authorised me to do so;

  • sharing limited information is reasonably necessary to carry out something you have asked me to do;

  • a trusted professional or service provider needs limited access in order to support the work and is subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations; or

  • I am legally required to disclose it.

I will only share what is reasonably necessary for the task.

I will never use your name, circumstances, project or story as a case study, testimonial or marketing material without your permission.

Where appropriate, an individual client engagement may also be covered by a separate confidentiality agreement or NDA.

Privacy

Who we are

KISS & Co. Ltd provides practical and strategic support across work and life.

For the purposes of data protection law, KISS & Co. Ltd is responsible for the personal information it collects and uses.

If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is handled, please contact KISS & Co. HERE.

What information I may collect

Depending on how you interact with KISS & Co., I may collect information including:

  • your name and contact details;

  • information you provide through the website, email or other communications;

  • information needed to understand or deliver a project or piece of work;

  • correspondence, notes, documents and information you choose to share with me;

  • billing, payment and transaction information; and

  • information about how you use the KISS & Co. website.

Because KISS works across both work and life, some engagements may involve more personal or sensitive information. I will only ask for or retain information that is reasonably necessary for the work we are doing together.

How your information is used

Your information may be used to:

  • respond to enquiries;

  • understand what you need help with;

  • provide and manage KISS & Co. services;

  • communicate with you during an engagement;

  • research, organise and carry out agreed work on your behalf;

  • manage invoices, payments and business records;

  • meet legal, regulatory or accounting obligations; and

  • operate and improve the KISS & Co. website and services.

I will not sell your personal information.

Working with other people

Part of getting things done can involve working with other people — for example, a travel specialist, professional adviser, supplier or other expert.

Where this is necessary, I will only share the information reasonably required for that particular task and, where appropriate, will agree this with you first.

KISS & Co. may also use trusted technology and professional service providers to operate the business, such as email, cloud storage, website hosting, accounting and communications platforms. These providers may process information on KISS & Co.'s behalf and are expected to handle it appropriately and securely.

Email, WhatsApp, Slack and other communications

Clients may choose to communicate with KISS & Co. using email, WhatsApp, Slack or other agreed channels.

Different platforms have their own privacy and security practices. Where particularly sensitive information is involved, we can agree the most appropriate way to communicate or share documents.

Legal basis for using your information

Depending on the circumstances, KISS & Co. may process personal information because:

  • it is necessary to provide services you have requested or to take steps before entering into an agreement with you;

  • it is necessary for KISS & Co.'s legitimate business interests, provided those interests do not override your rights;

  • it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation; or

  • you have given consent where consent is required.

Where particularly sensitive personal information is involved, it will only be processed where there is an appropriate legal basis for doing so.

How long information is kept

I don't believe in keeping information simply because I can.

Client and project information will be kept only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain appropriate business records, or to meet legal, tax, accounting or regulatory requirements.

Different information may therefore be retained for different periods. When information is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or disposed of where reasonably practicable.

Keeping information secure

KISS & Co. takes reasonable steps to protect client and personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure.

This includes using appropriate password protection, access controls and reputable technology and storage providers, and limiting access to information to those who genuinely need it.

No method of electronic communication or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but care and discretion are central to how KISS & Co. handles information.

Where a client provides payment or other sensitive financial information for the purpose of carrying out an agreed task, it will only be used for that purpose and handled with appropriate care and security.

International services and technology

Some of the technology providers used by KISS & Co. may process or store information outside the UK or European Economic Area.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, KISS & Co. will take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate legal protections and safeguards are in place.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable data protection law, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to:

  • ask what information I hold about you;

  • request a copy of it;

  • ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;

  • request deletion of information in certain circumstances;

  • restrict or object to certain uses of your information;

  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and

  • request transfer of certain information to you or another organisation.

If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact KISS & Co. HERE.

You also have the right to raise a concern with the relevant data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
